Can anyone recommend any groups with close jazz harmonies (besides Manhattan transfer) to listen to?

The Swingle Singers are another that come to mind.

Will check those out. I forgot about the Swingle singers. I saw them live once they were great.

For a really professional vocal jazz group with close harmonies, check out The Real Group from Sweeden and Vocalogy from the Los Angeles area, but especially The Real Group. They are amazing, especially the bass in the group. He maintains a solid ground bass below the sensational harmonies of the rest of the group. They sing as well in English as in Sweedish, as it is with most Northern European singing groups. You can find them with iTunes and Amazon.com. I think that everyone who appreciates close vocal jazz harmony will really like this group.
