retreive my hotmail emails with Gmail?

    I am hust wondering is it possible to get my @hotmail.com mail sent to my @gmail.com address, I went as far as I can in gmail but it says it cannot connect to server, Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to do it with Gmail?
