Looks like you only have one 3.5" internal bay so you can only physically fit 1 hard drive in the case. It might be possible to mount a hard drive in the external 3.5" bays or 5.25" bays with an adaptor. It probably won't look to nice.

It might but i'm not familar with the inside of your pc so I don't know if there is enough space fit it, only way you'll know is to try.

You might need too, if you have the space you should. I've never had a hard drive fail due to overheating but it can increase the ambient temperature in your case and cause other components to fail.

You might have to send it off to a data recovery company but that would cost over a grand.

Erm... why didn't you send it back to Compaq for repair? Even if it cost a bit of cash they might have been able to recover your data at the same time. This happened to a mate of mine recently and the manufacturer managed to 100% recover his files from a dead hard drive.

Company on aungier street in Dublin charge a lot less than that. "Back to the Future" i think they are called? Charge about 50 to take a look but can charge up to about 500 depending on how much work they need to do on it. Am told that they usualy just charge the 50 quid though.

Think their number is 4757177 though not sure. Have never used them personally but have been told good things by others who have.

Aye they're not too bad, just don't use that small place on Parnell St. The name of the company Rhymes with Sultry Peck.

Anyways the last repair that they did that I witness indirectly was a laptop dc connector repair (PSU would constantly fall out of the female end and would only power the laptop if jiggled about quite a bit).

Now instead of soldering a new connetor onto the motherboard they completely ripped the thing out, soldered two copper wires to the board itself then had the connector on about 6 or 7 cms of copper wire all wrapped in electric insulation tape. Horrible repair job to be honest but my gob****e of a friend paid nearly €70 for the repair.
