    Hi Everyone,
My Family are involved in a local airfield here in the midlands.
Health and Safety have told us we need to have a Rapid Response vehicle on site, in case of emergencys such as plane crashes etc.
We have sourced a suitable vehicle, a Volkswagen 4x4 Crewcab Pickup and relevant personal are getting training. We also have suitable water cannons and equipment to fit on the rear of the vehicle.
What I would like to know is what is the correct colour markings to put along the side of the vehicle. Also what is the correct colour light to have on the roof. Red, Blue, Orange etc.?
Is there any particular website or department I could contact to get this information.
    Thanks in Advance..........

Not sure what Health & Safety have to do with airfield RFFS cover, this would be an IAA matter....

Colour can be whatever tickles your fancy really. Red or yellow would be more traditional, but there's nothing stopping you from being creative. The real concerns relate to having the correct equipment properly maintained and with sufficient trained personnel to use it.

If the vehicle stays off road, the same applies to beacons, though blue and orange would be ususal - and if it's on the road, legal. Blue for emergency work, orange for driving around airside.

The IAA are the people you need to be talking to, they even helpfully publish some documents on the subject:

Whats the main purpose of the vehicle.....fire or ambulance....or both?

It's both fire and ambulance really.
It probably will never be called into action, fingers crossed anyway.
Thanks for the help, I'll have a look at those sites.

yellow and red battenberg would be the main idea i guess, as long as its any way distinct as being an airport vehicle and not a random pickup would be the mian!
