Laptop AC Adapter

    Just wondering where I might be able to pick up a PSU for a Compaq Presario 1500. Part no. 239705-001 or 286755-001. The thing is I'm about to buy a new laptop but in the meantime my adapter has broken on my current machine. I don't want to have to fork out on something I'll get very little use out of. Any advice?

    Maybe somebody out there has one lying in a drawer or something? It is an old laptop I know but I just need it for another few weeks. I'm in Dublin so if anybody has one they don't need i would really appreciate it.

    hi,
    im in a similar situation, i bought one on ebay for 12 euro including postage. comes from hong kong though, so could take awhile.
    might be an option for you, 12 euro isnt much if it keeps your laptop going for another few weeks.

    Thanks for the reply HJL. I came to the same conclusion myself and ordered one off ebay. Only need it to work for a short time so should be ok. It's a pity there are no shops that sell second hand stuff like this though. Chargers etc for mobiles, I have tons of them gathering dust. PC World etc. charge the guts of €100 for chargers! Feck that!:)
