Buttered Popcorn

Forget about Films for a second.

The biggest crisis facing Cinemas today is their lack of butter for the popcorn.
I enquired about why it is being removed & was told that it is a health & safety risk to staff as they could slip.

Is there any Cinema left that still give you butter with your popcorn ?.
I might have to invest in a good thermos flask & smuggle some in.

this has been going on for a few years now. first place i saw that banned it was vue in liffey valley. the standard excuse is "health and safety" but the reason they gave to begin with was some idiot spilled it on a chair and a stuck up D4 type threatened to sue the place for ruining her dress. think about it man if buttered popcorns dangerous what the hell is natchos with melted cheese?

the UCI's still do it. at least the one i go to in tallaght does as and up to last week . i have to admit i can take or leave it as long as the popcorns salty but its nice to have the choice of butter

I had some across the pond recently. Even though it was early in the afternoon, very soon after a big ass breakfast, I had to go for it.

I sat watchign the Dark night yesterday evenign with loads of Nachos and cheese. This has long replaced popcorn for me.

I cant recall ever having the option to add my own butter in cork...spoiled up there yee are!

My combo of choice is popcorn with malteasers, on a ratio of about 4popcorns to 1 malteaser. Nyom.
