Hard hat

I need a hard hat for the job I'm in at the moment as I will be on site in future. I already have one from a previous job but the problem I have is that there is a big company logo printed on the front of it and I would prefer not to waste money buying a new one. Would anyone know how to go about removing this logo?

How old is it ? Most companies insist on hard hats being replaced every 2 to 5 years , where I am they are quite adamant on the 2 year rule , any longer than 5 is considered by most places as beyond the useful life of the hat.

Also , if the logo is printed on , there is no way to remove it that wont also rule the hat out as a valid piece of PPE.

Considering hard hats are around a tenner , I dont think its a waste of money to just get a new one , its your head after all.

it's less than a tenner. dont be a scab or put up with the old one. Better yet, print a picture of yourself and stick this over the old logo.

You are meant to be issued with one set of ppe when you start a job. After that if you lose it our what ever you pay.

In the event that ppe is out dated and needs to be replaced I think the company has to do it
