Ok so i bought a PS3 almost a year ago from a gamespot in San Diego. Ive not had to return something like this before and was wondering what the best route to take is?

Will gamespot in Ireland be of any use to me?

Gamespot in Ireland wont touch it.

Sony in Europe wont want to go near it either.

Could you post it to the gamestop you bought it? I am sure that even in the best case scenario you would have to pay for the p&p,

****, well i emailed ebgames/gamespot so hopefully they have some answers for me in a day or two.

Do you reckon there is anywhere i could get it repaired in Ireland or is my only option shipping it back to the states?

Because you are still in warrenty I would at least try and see if you can get it done for free via them.

If not you may find it cheaper to get it fixed here than pay for all the p&p.

i had to return a ps3 to a new york city gamestop not so long ago, i got talking on the phone to the manager who suggested i of course send it back for a full refund on my credit card but that gamestop would also cover the postage back, which cost me around 70 euro via an post

Nice one that seems like my best shot. How long did it take to get the ps3 back?

Try these http://consolerepairsireland.ie/ I know someone who got their PS3 fixed by them and he couldn't fault them. They'll prob fix it cheaper than the P&P being quoted
