As the title says, I am about to buy an eos 450 D and I am thinking about lenses. What would people recommend. I was thinking of one zoom lens, one macro lens, and a prime lens. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

I bought the 50mm 1.4. Excellent lens. Around €400 here, but you can get it delivered for around €260 on Ebay.

Not got round to using my 50mm 1.4 since I bought my 24-105L, guess I could also say the same about my 100mm Macro but I def am going to take it out somewhere over the weekend.

I would suggest a 1.8F over the 1.4, mainly for price as a beginner. Both are cracking lens.

A good zoom lens (I've read) is the 55-250mm IS you can also get it from pixmania as apart of a deal.

I have a sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro which works as a semi-macro too, I find it excellent (as I read about it on boards)
    a few test shots here

I'd suggest spending the money on going and taking photographs,

    That is all

imho, if you are on a budget go for a general purpose lens, after a while you might get to know where your interest is. then, get better lenses specific to your needs. well, if you have limitless bank buying anything won't be any issues.
