I hope you won't see this as shameless self-promotion {God knows it's never gotten me gigs}, but you might like what you hear in a mix I made a few years back. I listened to it again recently and think it still holds up pretty well.

    Here's a teaser:

01/00.01 - 01.57: Ilhan Mimaroglu - Sing Me a Song of Songmy: Threnody for Sharon Tate
    02/01.57 - 03.55: Kronos Quartet - Black Angels: Absence
    03/03.55 - 06.00: Iannis Xenakis - Concret PH II
    04/06.00 - 09.22: Eugeniusz Rudnik - Dixi
    05/09.22 - 13.35: Tod Dockstader - Apocalypse: Part Three
    06/13.35 - 17.24: Dick Mills - Adagio
    07/17.24 - 31.35: Coil - The Sea Priestess
    08/31.35 - 43.15: Tod Dockstader - Aerial Song
09/43.15 - 46.42: Ilhan Mimaroglu - Sing Me a Song of Songmy: This is Combat, I Know
    10/46.42 - 47.13: Loops from Black Angels
11/47.13 - 49.08: Raymond Cass - An Introduction to EVP, mixed with Takefumi Haketa's Pulse OST
    12/49.08 - 55.44: Iannis Xenakis - Diamorphoses II
    13/55.44 - 61.11: Carmine & Francis Coppola - Apocalypse Now: End Credits

Thanks, and I hope someone likes it.

Thanks, can't say I know many of the artists but will certainly give a listen - always good to hear new stuff and especially as a DJ mix.

Nope but I do write for brainwashed (John Kealy). It's a motley crew of Johns, Jons and Jonathans at that site :)

Half way through listening to this and I like its darkness and light texture. Really really drags you in to another dimension. Perfect headphone listening. Will try listening to it at night time maybe up at the Hell Fire Club for the perfect location. Scary.

O, I know the history of the club well enough, thanks, but the Dublin chapter's news to me. I hoped you were talking about a bar with a nice atmosphere, killer sound system and decent beer selection. Like the Bull and Castle but with more goths ;)

These photographs are amazing, thank you!
