Course manager yesterday issued a warning in the racing post online that they were taking it as a wait and see situation, especially with the predicted forecast for today. Bobby is right keep an eye out for updates.

    Leopardstown adopt
    "wait and see" policy

    Tony O'Hehir

AN ADVERSE weather forecast for Fridaynight and Saturday had Leopardstown manager Tom Burke adopting a "wait and see" policy regarding Sunday's meeting at the track which features five Group races.

Burke said: "Conditions here have improved to yielding to soft, but the forecast is very bad. The Met Office told us early today that we could expect 20 to 30 millimetres of rain tonight and into tomorrow. They have since revised the forecast and told us we might get even more than originally forecast. So we'll just have to wait and see what happens. The rain is supposed to clear tomorrow evening."

Going was given as soft to yielding yesterday.

Not far from Leopardstown and it is raining since 9am and heavy enough at times, and the really bad rain not here... yet!
Thing is now forecast seems to be heavy rain later today and tonight.:(

    update

SUNDAY'S high-profile meeting at Leopardstown is in doubt after officials called a 7.30am inspection.

The bumper eight-race card is scheduled to feature five Group-race contests, including the Debutante Stakes, one of three events transferred from last weekend's abandoned meeting at the Curragh.

The course has been hit by 32 millimetres of rain on Saturday, according to Irish Turf Club officials and the going has changed to heavy.

Racecourse manager Tom Burke said: "The rain has stopped and we're hoping we don't get any more."
