Genetics???

Seeing the thread started by Dogster about genetic modification started a thought in my mind. OK, I'm trying to resist such things -- but what would be a desirable modification?

Modify grass with fish eyes, so that it can watch you grow?
Modify rabbits so that they are attracted to wide jaws (for our dogs?)
Modify women so that they can actually drive cars *can't get me--I'm under the stairs*
Modify politicians brains so that they have between them more than one brain cell, thereby allowing them to consider more than one issue at once.:rolleyes:

I want to modify humans.

Well obviously make us stronger,faster,more intelligent,improve all our senses and make us live forever. But this is only improving what we've already got.

I'd like to add new stuff on aswell;

1.Taste at our fingertips (like what flies have)

2.More colours (birds have 4 colour cones in their eyes, we only have 3.... they can see a whole range of colours we can't)

3.Retractable genitalia and possibly some sort of bony armour to protect the balls.

4.Gills (obviously)

5.Infrared sensors (like what a snake has)

that's all i can think of now... i'll add more later on. I think giving us wings would ruin everything.

Rabbits to have giant claws for fighting back

Snakes to have little fluffy rabbit-like tails

Human stomachs to have teeth in case you swallow food without chewing it properly, or all your mouth-teeth fall out

Unlimited sets of teeth, every time one rots away another grows forcing it out of place. (I hve good teeth...just hate dentists.)

No feeling in your toes/feet so when you get out of bed at 4 o clock in the morning and stand on a plug or stub your toe on the doorframe you just keep walking.

The ability to see in the dark so if you don't get no feeling in your feet/toes you can at least see the plugs.

The ability to close over your ears and block out all sounds around you....(my girlfriend snores, she says its sinus problems......its not really) :rolleyes:

Yes I agree with them!
In a doc I saw once, there were mentionings of dolphins growing stumps early on in gestation where arms could develop, but they grow in again before birth. So they probably had arms once, or will have arms in the future.

Also I think we shouldn't have toes. That we should just have feet with no toes, so that they basically look like we're wearing socks.. hahaha

I think our toes actually serve a function our balance would be all weird and we wouldn't be able to run as fast. I remember hearing from an incredibly unreliable source that we're evolving to lose our little toe....


Completely off topic, but;

Have you ever wondered what the inside of a centaur's body is like.
Do they have two hearts/stomachs ect.
Or is it just the one.....

If so what's the point of having the extra set of lungs seeing as they're not attached to any source of oxygen.

Obviously I'll have to start start by establishing exclusive rights to any and all genetic modification processes.
Then I will incorperate MC1R (Titan gene),as badge of distinction for all modded humans.
History will be kind to me and my quest for global domination.
I will be known as the woman who single handed eradicated humans gingerism.


That and the obvious.
