Hi guys we are looking at going to Honalooloo (sic) for our honeymoon next june but want to stop off in vegas for 2/3 days enroute. Ive read other threads that are saying to go to vegas via san fran. This could suit us as we where thinking of coming home from hawaii through san fran and maybe staying over for a night or two. Any ideas on the best wat to go about doing this, whose the best internal flights in the US and as its our honeymoon any tips for a better trip..
    cheers guys

I would really recommend going to Vegas last ... the hotels there are AMAZING. Even if you're staying in a five star in Hawaii and are in a five star in Vegas, the one in Vegas will be miles and miles ahead!

We were over there in November and stayed in the Bellagio (amazing!) and then went onto San Francisco and stayed in the Fairmont ... maybe if I hadn't been in the Bellagio beforehand, the Fairmont would've been cool but it was such a let down compared to what I'd just gotten used to in Vegas! And the Fairmont is a five star hotel!

my friend did this for his honeymoon. the cheapest flights from mainland usa to hawaii are from san fran and los angeles. i recommend to stay 2 days at least in san fran because it is a glorious city with so much to see. aer lingus fly direct dublin to san fran

most of the big airlines fly to honolulu so don't expect budget prices from the likes of united, american, us airways, northwest etc on that route

the flight from san fran to vegas takes just over an hour and you should be able to bag one for about $100 return with southwest

in vegas the best hotel/resorts in town are the venetian, bellagio and the wynn (wynn being slightly ahead of the other two). the palazzo is a newly opened extension to the venetian it is 5 star hotel with the smallest rooms being 720 sq feet suites http://www.palazzolasvegas.com/ encore a gigantic tower extension at the wynn hotel will open in time for your arrival it will be another world class resort
