aer lingus fly direct dublin to orlando so that is easy enough in itself, others may be cheaper but you will need to change

there are a ton of things to do in orlando and nearby, disney has 4 main parks and 2 water parks, its very kiddie based but there are some world class rides too, you will need at least a day per park so if you guys are doing each park thats at least 5-6 days. flexi ticket is probably best if that is the case. during the time doing disney a disney hotel is probably best, the value resorts go for about $80 a night and usually sleep 4 http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/resorts/roomPriceMatrixPage?id=BenefitsOSOP2008RoomPriceMatrixPage

you will enjoy universal and especially islands of adventure far more than disney. busch gardens in tampa (free bus with seaworld ticket) stomps all over disneys copycat animal kingdom. a day in seaworld is well worth it as is a day to the massive beach in daytona about 1 hour north east of orlando.

you can also go alligator watching with a airboat through the northern florida everglades about an hour south http://www.bcairboats.com/ or maybe take in an nba game at the amway arena downtown, the orlando magic are playing well again and dwight howard is worth paying money to watch

remember orlando is a massively sprawled city, disney world is huge and located about 25 miles south of downtown orlando, international drive is located in the middle then (seaworld, wet and wild, universal)

You've got to go on the "Soarin" ride at Epcot, its a virtual hang gliding ride. I was there last month - Unbelievable!!!
