Looking for a 30D...what sites?

Hi,
I have my eyes peeled for a 30D now for a good few weeks...possibly even two months.


I want to have it for my hols next month and times running out. There's none on ebay or adverts. I tried a google yesterday to see if I could find any good digital photography forums with for sale sections but didn't have alot of luck.

Can anyone point me to some good places where used cameras are sold?

Photographyireland.net? Buy and sell? Conn's Cameras in Dublin? I got mine from adverts and there were three or four for sale at the same time

Btw there is now 4 on ebay,
You could try ebay.co.uk too alot of sellers claim not to post outside of the uk but will happily post to ireland if you send them a nice email

Instead of ebay.co.uk just search through ebay.ie.
You'll get the same results but you you can see prices in Euro.

Here is one that I found but there more there.

Murpho some people set it not to show on ebay.ie hence the fact i said check the .co.uk and send them an email iv allready posted a link to the irish 30D's

Hi guys,
I should have actually said I am hoping to get a kit with a lens. It's my first proper camera you see so I don't have any lenses.

That was one of the kit lenses released with the 30D that is the cheaper of the 2 the one being the canon 17-85 is usm.Some people say its good quaility otheres say it bad.But fine for a newbie imo

Sorry for being pedantic but you are incorrect. If you have an account with ebay.ie (as most Irish users would have) you can see any posting anywhere in the world regardless if they ship to Ireland or not.

For example, when I check 'worldwide' box I can see items for sale in USA even though their listing shows that they will only ship to the US.

You do not have to go into each country's Ebay site to see the listings specific for each country. Sure it would take you forever to find anything then.

I get them in ebay.ie no problem. Just switched country search to US and up it comes.

Well alot of people dont search worldwide cause you usually end up getting alot of crap from the us and hong kong and searching america will mean you'll have to get power adpaters etc.
I was explaining to the op that the standard ebay.ie search will return results that will be based in ireland and from the untied kingdom that will post to ireland

What i was saying is alot of UK(not worldwide!) wont list shipping to ireland but if you ask them they normally will!

I was saying alot of UK sellers will post to ireland if you ask meaning all you have to do is go to the .co.uk site and you can just get uk results and ask them!If there are no items on .ie

Whats the point of searching the world when it will shows up load of items which you cant get cause they are in the us?

Well as you said, if you send them an e-mail then they might send it to you.

Agree about problems with adaptors etc, but an item like a lens can be bought anywhere in the world, so its no harm to look.

I was only trying to point out that you don't have to go to ebay.co.uk to see items from that site.

Hope we can stop fighting now!:D

lol im not fighting its just whenever iv searched worldwide is the past there are always hundreds of kits which are quiet pricy and just clogging up the search
