Anyone heard any albums from this crowd? I only heard bits and bobs, not bad, but would be interested to hear of anyone who's heard their albums..

I think their first EP and then the first full length album are the best. I kind of lost interest after that to be honest.

Yep I'm a big fan, heard Tom Dunne giving them a spin on Today FM a few years ago and became hooked, great first album "Lovers", some really nice Beatles-ish tunes, the band is mainly the work of one guy, Luke Steele, and its easy to see his influences from listening to the music...Beatles, ELO, etc...I think hes stolen a few guitar solos from George Harrison!
Second album Personality was quite good too, but a bit samey, all the songs have the same feel, not quiet the variety of the 1st album...very 70s disco-ish in places, and overall a very retro feel (what isnt these days).
Their videos are cool too, you should check em out on youtube, and I also really like the artwork on their CDs :)

hung out with them in whelans a few years back after the minialbum they had before the album. They played a double header with that band who sang 'ban marriage' and 'golden stream.' The lead singer wasn't that friendly but the other guy with the band was really sound. twas a really good gig too.

must check out their 1st album so. cheers.
i hear luke steele has been writing with daniel johns (silverchair). I'd say that would have potential to be interesting as daniel johns went off the beaten track songwise recently which i like..

Great band, Lovers is their best album, great pop songs on it. The second album isn't that bad either, bit over produced though... As far as I know the singer Luke steele is makin a solo album so that should be interesting...
