Anyone know a good female drummer?

    I`m helping 3 girls to form an original 4-piece rock band. We`ve a singer/rhythm guitarist, a lead guitarist, and a bass player - all aged 18. We`re looking for an energetic drummer to complete the line-up.

    Influences would be grunge, metal-punk, or a lively beat. We dont want someone sitting at their kit like it`s some kind of knitting machine. A high-energy drummer would be preferred, someone who wants to express their attitude by creating a big drum sound.

    Gigs and recording will follow, once we find a girl who has genuine dedication and ambition. We`re Dublin based and have songs ready to go. Male 4-piece rock bands completely dominate the scene so why cant a female 4-piece also make some inroads?

    It doesnt matter to us if you`ve no previous band experience. You could have been practising away in a shed or garage for the past few years and if you`re a female, wondering what kind of band you could join. Anyway here`s your chance and just PM me if you`re interested.

    Thanks Pearl Drummer, you seem to know the trough where these elusive female drummers go for their feed. Maybe you can send a hungry one my way?? I`m beginning to wonder if female drummers are as scarce on this island as a rocking-horse`s droppings, but we`ll keep trying.
    And thanks Remo2 I`ll check out that site, hadnt heard about it till now. Someone mentioned a site called newbandmember.ie. Either of you heard about it before and is it any good? Gumtree and Hot Press are the other two unless you include Buy & Sell,s "Music Board" which seems to attract the covers end of music

    i remember there was a female drummer in here a few months ago,
    lookin to form/join a band.
