ok every time i type something random numbers apperar i dont have num lock or anything like that on
please help. its a dell vostro

keep pressing shift key, a window should pop up asking do you want sticky keys, click no...
this should resolve your problem

That would have nothing to do with a 4 appearing between O and W

How long has this been going on for and what troubleshooting measures have you taken OP.

I think theres a few viruses out there that can do this.

its weird it happens for the first say 10 min my comp is on then just randomly stops.i ran virus scan and all that but nothing showed up. i system restored it to when it never happened and still happening

Try to disconnect keyboard from laptop and use Virtual Keyboard

Start ->All Programs -> Accessories -> Ease of Access -> On-screen Keyboard



If unwanted digits do not appear when u type on Virtual Keyboard it could mean that keyboard's causing this problem.
