    Couple of questions about this...

I guess it doesn't come with a waterproof cover...anybody have any idea as to how water-resistant the fabric actually is?

Also...would I be able to fit a 70-300mm lens in the lens pouch?

it doesn't have AW in it's name, so no cover.

    I'd go for

I actually have this bag, the CompuTrekker AW. It's brilliant for transporting my gear around, but not exactly a bag you're wear for a day out. It can hold a lot of gear, plus laptop, so I use it when going on holidays (to the US and such). It can carry the vast majority of what I want to bring.

It's not the most comfortable for a day out hiking, since the shoulder straps are just a little thin (IMHO), but it is all weather and packs a lot.

Thanks guys. Trying to keep the price down. Any idea why amazon is being so anal about shipping bags to ireland?

I have a CompuDaypack, carry it with me most every day. No waterproof cover, but for the outings i've gone on (light rain, splashy waterfalls..), i haven't had a problem with water. And i have a sigma 70-300 in one of the compartments. i've been very happy with this bag. hope it's some help

I have this bag and use it for all my photo assignments.

If your in Dublin, you could do worse than pop down to either the Camera Exchange or Gunnes. Both places easily beat the web prices for a "Lowepro Computrekker AW"
I was in a rush, and expected to pay the "irish shop" premimum. I was surprised when the lady in Gunnes told me the price. I ended up buying cokin filters from my change, so I didnt "save" much :D

Interesting. I'm heading to Memphis, so the lack of dedicated water-proofing isn't a massive deal for me right away....of course returning to ireland cold mess things up royally, weather being what it is and all.
