Settings for recording Skype calls

I've started to use Skype for some of my professional interviews, and it would be nice to be able to record the calls (with the permission of the interviewee).

I have downloaded Audio Hijack, but I'm not sure what sound settings I should use for recording - should I be recording from the internal speakers or the microphone, or will Audio Hijack make the settings correct itself?

The sound settings on the MacBook (not the Pro) are notoriously dodgy, and keep slipping from how I set them in any case; this is apparently a standard problem with the build.

    Any advice gratefully received.

Audacity will record system audio, I'm pretty sure. iShowU can record video and audio aswell so give that a look.

    Check out Wiretap.

I just used used Audio Hyjack with the low bandwidth preset. Worked no problem.

Diarmuid, where is this low bandwidth preset of which you speak?

And by the way, how do you name a session? Session/Rename just tries to rename internal bits of the app, and option-clicking the name Audio Hijack has given the session doesn't offer renaming.

(I do use Wiretap for other stuff, but Skype themselves recommend Audio Hijack, by the way.)
