Websites crashing my PC

With Firefox, I've been having a problem with certain websites crashing my PC (freezes and has to be reset). They seem to be sites that are running Javascript but I'm not sure

www.meteor.ie and www.lotto.ie are two that would regularly freeze the computer but not always.

When I open the sites in IE 7 they run without issue. I do hear the Graphics card fan kick in though.

I've tried updating everything I can but it's still happening. I didn't have SP1 but that didn't help when I installed it.

Any suggestions? Are there any Java setting I could change?

    Vista 32 bit Home Edition.
    Firefox 3.0.1
Nvidia Geforce 7900 GS Forceware version 175.19
    Java Version 6 Update 7 (build 1.6.0_07-b06)

You might want to check the Flash Player pluggin i would imagine that would be the problem...happens a good bit (browser just closes instantly)

Have you installed all the Windows Updates and more importantly SP1 ?

I used to have the same problem with the Vodafone Webtext page. Never really found out how to fix but it works now. When I went on the page the pc used to freeze and had to power it down.

I installed SP1 last week and still have the problem. Although, a new set of updates installed yesterday so they might help.

Flash Player is up to date as well.

Thanks, but I doubt that's it, I clear that most days.
