Hi, I have an acer5610. the charger I got with the laptop stopped working a while back, bought a universal charger which wasn't all that good and had to be replaced twice before finally breaking again and the shop won't replace it. It cost me 75 quid a while back. I'm looking for a specific acer charger for this laptop. Is there a place I can get this, apart from ebay? Also, if not, I would have to go for a universal charger. Is 75 euro the standard price for these? Where would you recommend I buy this stuff?

    Cheers!

I cant say you'll get anything better then Ebays price. Id go with one of them.
Universal chargers can be quite expensive, but im sure a year or so ago I got one in Maplin (albeit on a sale) for about €40 or so.

    Why not ebay?

U can try to get same charger form the maker. its safer for u and ur buck. Once I bought some unknown maker's charger for my mobile it demaged battery.

ebay charger made my system go nuts: the audio jacks electrocuted me, the touchbad went non-responsive and my seperately owned and operated speakers received the electrical static-feedback from hell just from being on the same surge protector/wall outlet as the laptop. it overheated to the point of melting the sticker on it (im serious you could see the warps and little bubbles where the adhesive had been boiling) and probably didnt do my battery or my system much good at all.

    Ebay
