International Driving Permit USA?

    Just wondering is my full Irish licence ok for renting cars and driving in the USA or should I get the International Driving Permit? I have looked online and it seems the International Driving Permit is recomennded but not nessary. Can anyone fill me in?

    Yours is in English, you'll be fine without an IDP

    Your Irish license will work fine...the international permit is a waste of space.
