Lots of nice places... depends what kind of thing you're looking for, and what kind of budget. There was also a thread like this the other day on Food and Drink forum - http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055196251

    edge,
went to club brasserie for first time last weekend (next to clarion hotel on lapps quay) food was excellent and staff / service really good - highly recommend it.
    Also recommend
    - Isaccs (mcCurtain street)
    - cafe paradiso: fancy vegetarian - she'll be mightily impressed (Washington street / western road)
    - market lane (oliver plunkett street)

ENJOY and let us all know how you get on!

If your willing to shell out, then "Ivory tower" is just fantastic, very different and guaranteed to impress.

+ 1 for this. Probably my fav restuarant and reasonably priced. Def would not go to scoozi's. Terrible food, and not that much cheaper than luigis. Eco's in Douglas is also one of my favs and if u like indian food theres Lal Quila across the road from Eco's which is good too. They do a really nice Tikka Masalla :)

Might be a bit late at this stage but Currans isn't bad either. Probably better than Scoozis and on a par with Luigi Malones when Luigi's has a good day.
