..I ought to have made better use of my kensington!

I know this a bit of topic for the forum, but, last Saturday night, while i was across the road at the barbers during The Deluge, our house was broken into, and my laptop was stolen. :( To be positive about it, I'm telling myself i've learned the hard way to practice the security lessons i already knew!
    1. if you have valuable stuff lying around, close the curtains.
    2. if you have a kensington, use it.
    3. if you're going to the barbers, or even just the shop like i'd intended to, close the bloody window!! ARGH!
Mind you, the cops said there was a few breakins in the estate recently, and the window was smashed every time, so at least i don't have to worry about fixing a window too! :o

So if anyone out there spots a 4 yr old HP Compaq nx5000, with half the paint scraped off the left speaker, a worn left mouse button, and a dodgy battery, sure you might let me know!

I hope this helps you all remember to keep your own lappys safe!

Laptop lock. Its called a kensington. U know. U loop it around some heavy furniture, then lock it to your laptop. Most laptops have a connector for them.

One of the only laptops I've seen without one is the macbook air. Given the price it really should have one.
