Ticket order debacle

Has anyone ever booked tickets by ringing the number on gaa.ie?

During the week I booked 2 tickets for Saturday's games. Managed to get nice seats: Lower Cusack Sect 308. While I was at it I booked seats for the same section for Waterford's game next Sunday.

So on Saturday, I headed up to Croker in good time and queued happily to collect my two tickets. the queue was moving REALLY slowly but I was happy in the knowledge that my two tickets for near the halfway line had already been secured. However when I eventually reached the top of the queue, my tickets were nowhere to be found. Cue a 30 minute debacle where the young lad behind the desk searched frantically for my tickets only to eventually check his computer to find that there was no record of the transaction. Eventually I was forced to buy some new tickets at a different window and ended up sitting down in the corner of the Cusack, MUCH worse seats than the ones originally secured. Worse still, we didn't get to our seats until 25 mins into the Wexford match after all the hassle.

So now I'm faced with the prospect of not getting a decent seat for my own county's game on Sunday, despite being on the ball and buying tickets (or so i thought!) a whole 10 days early, all because some ncompetent idiot ****ed up my order somehow. has anyone ever had a similar experience? Suffice to say someones on that phone is gonna get ATE alive tomorrow morning.

sorry to hear about your ticket problems, i dont think its a Gaa Issue. just about any major event is capable of somethign like that. I have heard of stories about music events that are much worse. there are several ways to buy tickets... maybe try another way ?

Obviously unfortunate, but as Alany is saying, it is probably just a one off. The ticket office normally are good. I know people who get them through there.
