You were never going to see all 4GB anyway, XP is 32bit. PCI address space starts at 4GB and works downward, reserving memory space addresses for use by devices. The more PCI devices, the more space used. If you want the use of all 4GB you need a 64bit OS.

The BIOS should at least show it all. Try it with only the new RAM to see if it's recognised at all.

I did that and it showed it all.

What model are the various sticks of RAM. You could also try upping the RAM voltage by .1 or .2V. You'll probably end up doing this anyway to ensure stability with 4 DIMM's in use.

Where in the BIOS are you checking the RAM amount? If you're referring to the memory check at startup, that often won't show the physical RAM, just the addressable amount.

In Windows, run CPU-Z from http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php , and check the SPD tab, it should have an entry for each slot and a description of the RAM installed.

Yeah i am checking it from the Startup Check.:

In SPD Its showing the ram in the 4 slots.

In SPD Its showing the ram in the 4 slots.

Then all 4 are being detected properly, also given that msinfo32 reports 4 physical GB, the BIOS seems to be showing the addressable amount, not the physical amount.
