    Pricewise its pretty run of the mill- its a dual core pentium, rather than a core-2-duo (i.e. half the processor cache) but pretty ok specs otherwise. You can pick up a 17" Dell for less in PC World- if screen size is a decider for you (and upgrade the rest of the components to the 3Gb RAM etc for next to nothing). The only component that is future proofing in this laptop is the Draft-N wireless card, and even that has problems with some Draft-N routers.

    If you need a new laptop you could do a lot worse than buy this- but you're not doing much better than you would if you popped into PC World/Dixons (shudder.......)
