What cartridges do you use for different kinds of ducks, e.g. Springing teal, high mallard etc.

Also what ducks do you find the most exciting to shoot.:)

With the duck season coming up, I was just wondering which ducks do you find the most exciting to shoot, e.g. Springing Teal, High Mallard etc.

Also what cartridges do you use for these ducks:)

    Don't shoot domestic ducks! :pac:

If it lights from a river or a lake or it comes flying into one without presenting photographic ID accompanied by two recent household bills I'm afraid it will be shot at. :D

Would you be referring to a court case a while ago when a young lad shot a duck, in season and on open water, that was afterwards claimed as a domestic duck ?

Shooting mallard as the evening is about to get dark is great craic, keeps you on your toes and the pulse racing!

34 or 36 gram four or fives do the job for me

34g 6's is my prefered choice, I/2 choke for walking in on them or flight pond.

only ever got mallards (and not many of them). they're great shooting - the speed of them. I'd use 34g 6's given the choice... give him a good 3 feet lead and one and half on top....... BANG yup ye boya duck for franko's tea.
