Spotlight not indexing my PDF folder

Just noticed this when I did a search for my PDF copy of Dracula and nothing came up. Spotlight does not seem to have indexed most of the PDFs in my PDF folder. Odd and annoying, this is the first real problem I've had with spotlight since I moved to Leopard. Any idea what I can do about this beyond downloading Google Desktop?

In Tiger Spotlight used to find any file whether it was a users file or a system file, this changed in Leopard. Gone are the system file results and you can only find files you have permission to see afaik. Can you use the Finder search to find them ?

You could also try adding the directory with the .pdf files to the Privacy tab of System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy, lof off, log back in then remove the entry again. This has worked for others according to the Apple forums.

    Thanks that sorted it.
