Saw this laptop in pc world the other day (although afaik the one in the shop had 160gb hd, but thats not important either way) for 400 quid. Is it any good? My concern would be the 1gb ram for (ghey) vista. Anyone got any experience with this brand?

also I have a four or five year old hp laptop that is fu|cked on me, but I think with a little work it could be made work again, or at the very least used for parts of something. Is there any market for trading something like that, and what could I expect to get for it? anything at all?

    thanks in advance

It's not great. The processor and ram let it down with regards to vista. 40GB hard drive is quite small, vista will take up about half of that. I'm pretty sure that ei systems are pc worlds own brand like advent. If you could stick xp on it then it would be grand enough speed wise.

As for the hp stick it on adverts or ebay. That's the only place I can think of.

Is the processor really not suited to vista?I have an external hd so not worried bout that bit.Don't mind who makes them tbh so long as they are solid.Could i downgrade to the old copy of xp that i have from my hp?If not maybe i'm better off paying a bit extra. Thanks for the info.

You could install the xp from your hp laptop but it would breach microsoft's eula.
