This is probably a bad idea cos you lot are now gonna go to this place and I wont get a seat! but this place in Abbey Street does like an all you can eat buffet for €9.90! And the great thing is it's not like a lot of these places that do the 'help yourself' thing where the food isn't all that good. There's a nice selection of stuff and you can sup a nice bottle of Chinese beer along with it (extra of course!)
I'm thinking of just going there every night for my dinner cos it'll still cost less than going to Tescos every other day!!

Why? If you're going to post that you'd never go again then you could at least tell us the reason. Was the food bad or the place jammed or what?

Jesus, where do i begin? Is cold food, being overcharged and rude waiters a good enough reason to never step into the place again?

i found jimmy's food really generic and not that great. i expected better.

i found bango better on capel street, but it is more expensive, so depends on the person really.

    personally, id go with bango...

I was there once, very small buffet but the food was ok enough. Not worth any more than i paid. They run the "eat everything on your plate" rule. They will charge you for food not eaten as discovered by a father whose kid went up at the last second and grabbed a plate he could not finish.

Best all you can eat i have seen is the one in Parkwest which is the sort of size you would expect from a buffet in the US. Food is much better too since they are also a proper restaurant. They have nice Thai food too :D

The thing i find about "all you can eat" is, i never eat any more than if i went for a standard meal. I might get 2 or 3 small plates.. by small i mean a very small sample of everything and only what i know i will eat as regardless of if i will be charged extra, i hate leaving food to go to waste.

Are all the places mentioned above all you can eats? I can't stand small portions when I go out for dinner and I ALWAYS finish everything, I hate wasting food too and I can't stand it at weddings and Christmas parties and everything where they feed everyone millions of food and each time I'd say 40-50% of the food goes to waste and isn't eaten.

I like this place too but go down for Lunch early, the nearer you get to 2 the less choice and food there is.

Jimmy Chungs is good too but twice the price.

Well if you are looking for suggestions for this type of thing, try Mongolian Barbeque in temple bar. You go up, grab a plate and fill it with stuff and then bring it to the chef to cook on a big grill and then you season it.

Yeah, if you're too late after about 1pm the food is colder and less plentiful. There's always a run on the chicken curry!

That said, have eaten there a bunch of times and would always go back. Sure the staff are a bit impersonal, but who gives a toss - you serve yourself! 9 euros for a seriously full belly and an interesting place to eat.
