Anything decent that size out there for about €600?

Have looked a dell and laptops.ie but cant find anything.

Is it the smaller the laptop, the more expensive?

PS World do an Advent that is 12" and has DVD drive for maybe 599 ish but seriously you should consider a 'netbook' ie ASUS EEE or Advent 4211 -.These are absolutely THE PCs of the moment as cool as it gets right now for under 400 euro for most models.Check them out first before you buy anything -Google netbooks/advent 4211/asus eee etc .Wife got an Advent 4211 for 379 euro and far far far prefers it to her old Sony Vaio 13 inch screened 1600 euro job.If you have a desktop pc you do not need a dvd drive -you can put all your stuff on SD memory cards...

Ytareh whats the keyboard like on the advent? Is it big enough for a guy to use?

I find the keyboard fine (size 9-10 feet LOL)but to be honest I think the EEEs keyboard isnt all that bad either. Now Id only be typing short letters/reports -maybe if you were typing for hours it might be a bit slower than a full sized keyboard .But for me its 100% fine -maybe even BETTER than a full sized keyboard.Try it out in PC World (Blanchardstown ,Dublin have them for sure)
