    Hi
We have a 'wilderness' area behind the shed, nettles etc. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get wild flowers and how to plant them. I was hoping that once they are planted they will look after themselves and keep those nasty nettles at bay.

Would wildflowers go mad and take over a garden/lawn.

you may not be in luck - wildflowers tend to favour infertile soil, and nettles tend to signify fertile soil. i suspect nettles would outcompete flowers.
