    Yo,
Is there any solution for adding a pannier rack to a road bike with no mounting points? Can't seem to see anything on the interweb.

Or is there any other bag setup that could be used for a week long cycling holiday?

Its for a mate. I have one of these I can loan him, but space will still be a little tight. http://www.carradice.co.uk/sqr-saddlepacks/sqr-tour.shtml

    any ideas?

You might get away with mounting a rack using P-clips as long as the load won't be too heavy. A more secure option would be to use a rack that mounts via the rear QR skewer, like these:

Another option is a "rack" that attaches to the seatpost, such as these ones: Topeak Beam RX and Topeak QR Beam EX.

Those ones are rated for 15lbs of weight, but as with the issue of P-clips on a frame you'll need to check whether the seat post can take such weight (you probably wouldn't want to try it with a carbon seatpost, for example). They might also change the handling of the bike more than a conventional pannier rack.

Thanks for the offer preilly, but I think we have it sorted. As a matter of interest, what can your rack/bag hold?
