    Ive seen it mentioned here once or twice. But what exactly is a Imdb fanboy. Are they the sado's and nerds. Who vote Lord Of the rings and Star Wars as the greatest film ever in the IMDB polls. Or are they just anally retentive padantic petes who ref everything by IMDB

    doesn't it mean the saddo's who recently created fake profiles to vote up Dark Knight and vote down The Godfather, thus making it "no 1" on the top 250 list ?

    Its basically those who can see no wrong in their favourite movies/franchises/directors/actors etc. and will do just about anything to bring them credit. Depending on the zeal this can range from simply giving their 'pet likes' a ten score regardless right up to purposely marking down rival/competing works to make their faves look better by comparison.

    Actually that wouldn't have any significant effect. The IMDb top 250 only counts the votes of regular voters/posters.
