not sure if anyone has ever watched this so called news chanell on sky chanell 512

i never really watched it untill yesterday when i decided to see how they would cover the russia georgia coverage

i never seen such biased reporting in all my life what with the tone of the presenters or the text across the bottom of the screen , the text read georgian troops attack civilians , international community calls for georgia to stop fighting , naked propoganda of which would turn rupert murdoch red btw , all the presenters sound either english or american , presumably they are russians who learned to speak english in those countries

anyway it made fox news look fair and balanced , no pun intended

did you watch any of the american or british news stations during the run up to the iraq/afghanistan war?

    also
    georgian troops attack civilians

probably true, they are invading a country.. it's pretty unavoidable.
international community calls for georgia to stop fighting

    well that's definitely true.

so, russian tv reporting the news from a russian perspective. Bastards.

i think georgia propaganda has been prettyy high, all we see are the nearby apartments being hit and not the military installations

You're proving just how biased you are here, irish_bob, because Russia Today was not as bad as Fox News (or even Sky News) was, regarding the reporting of Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan.

Anyway, it goes without saying that you should not allow yourself to be swayed by anything you hear or read these days - i.e. Don't form an opinion until you have had the wisdom of being on both sides of an argument.

Other media was blatantly biased also, made no mention that Georgia had invaded South Ossetia first (on Aug 7) and had killed about 2,000 in Tskhinvali.

How can Georgia invade its own territory?

Did they really kill 2,000 people, or is that proaganda?

    I watch DW-TV or France 24.

The UK / American coverage is real anti-Russia cold war propaganda.

Sakashvili, the Georgian president, is an American puppet who's made a mess of things and the Yanks will dump him ASAP and install another puppet at the next 'democratic' elections.

I used to watch Russia Today a good bit when I had it, and didn't find it all that biased. It was around the time of Ukrainian elections last year, and I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of negative coverage for the pro-western parties.

I've just seen this video from an interview on Fox News, which was cut short when they strayed from the script. It does go off on a mad tangent afterwards...

Here they are again, being allowed to speak on Russia Today...

Russia is trying to show the world that America does not 'rule the roost' anymore. In any case, don't you all remember, for example, that America firstly lied about WMDs in Iraq, and then went against the UN's orders by actually invading it (Iraq). America seems to believe that one set of rules apply to her, and another set of rules to the rest of the world.

Be careful what you hear on the media...

    Kevin
