But I'm still convinced that iBood use things like Wiis or iPods when they have no real offer for a particular day,

When they had the DS on offer before Christmas they sold out in six minutes.
I managed to get one. So whilst stock levels may be questionable they do have some of there quickly 'sold out' named brand items.
