You can study with the ou from ireland ok. The cost of the courses is more than the uk though but i think that you are now able to claim some of that back here. I finished off my degree with them and they have very good courses.

    Hi,
I am hoping to register for a module to begin the MSc in Tech Mgt with Open University, but during registration it came back that my entry requirements were not met and they would contact me shortly. I presume its because I am in Ireland and they have no record of my degree etc.

But I am just wondering if anyone knows how long it may take for them to get back to you???

    Thanks
    K

I never had anything like that came up myself when registering for any courses, guess it must be to do with it being MSc level then. Have you done any courses at all with the OU before or is your previous degree not with them?

It did take a while before I was given credit for my HND courses, but that was never a pre-requqisite for any other modules I did with them.

Yeah i think you would have to show proof that you have the entry requirements which appear to be a diploma in tech mgt

    Hi There,

I ve been sniffing around Ou for a while. They have excellent materials, they are absoulutely available and every question is being answered over the phone or email.
I wouldnt wait for them to get back, grab a phone a make a call. They are good.

Prices are higher for ROI and even much higher for the rest of the world.
You may get tax relief --on certain courses-- from revenue based on 20% income rate but not more that €5000 a year. Check the revenue web site for these courses, you should be able to download the list of universities and reliefed courses by pdf.

They know ROI very well, they know colleges here. Be careful if You want to use Your previous study as credit against further eduction. The cheapy colleges do not credit their courses and u end up being a Diploma of sth but with no possibiliy of goinig further with it.

There is certain courses available for ROI, not all UK courses.

By the way: If You earn less than £18k annually [UK resident] YOU MAY STUDY FREE OF CHARGE!!!
    What a great country ;)

    but...

i have a feeling that OUs this very course is quite expensive.
There is more places doing same one. Have browse arround, including uk sites which are quite rich in subject.
The difference may even hit 50% of price.

Check External Oxfords web site, they seem to be good and have good name too.
That may be noticable at any future successfull interviews ;)

    good luck

thanks. yep the fees are expensive enough, but the course and university itself seem to have good reviews.
But i will check out the external oxfords website as well...its always good to have more options.
    Thanks again,
    K
