Excuse me for asking instead of researching, my resources are limited (don't have much access to internet)

Has anyone here knowledge of source code which is capable of loading an ELF or library into memory, and executing some procedure there?

On windows for example, the code i use opens a DLL file, maps it into executeable memory, fixes up any address issues, then runs a function as a thread.

I'd like something similar on unix-variant systems.

I'm not familiar programming on this, but i'm assuming you'd use mmap() with memory set to executeable..

Anyone know of a library or application which features this already?

    Thank you in advance.
