    Hopefully they're going fine.

    How're you finding them yourself?

    ****ing Brilliant thank god!

Couple of tough ones now though!

    Any idea on results date?
    I heard sept 5th?

Hopefully they'l continue to go well for you. And everyone else for that matter!
I thought the leaflet thingy that came with the results said the 6th of September for Undergrads.
I'll look it up if I remember later but I'm almost sure that it was the 6th.

Good luck with the rest of them.

The 5th is a Friday, so that makes more sense than the 6th (summer results were out on a Friday). Bit silly though, as we're supposed to start on the 8th O_o that means you could have spent upwards of €3000 already on accommodation only to find you didn't make it, 2 days before starting? My mate's at Aberdeen uni and his results came out 2 week after his repeats...

Hey, just checked it there. Yep, repeat results are out on the 5th (the Friday as you so rightly said).

No idea where I got the 6th from.

Anyone know what the craic is if you fail? Can you just repeat the modules you failed and if so how much is that?

  • Moderators Posts: 12,397 ✭✭✭✭Black_Knight

Pretty sure you can just repeat the modules you fail, but its more then likely going to be different for every department.

As for my repeats, one was great, one not so great! Hoping that balances out a bit...

Let's say it's E.1000 to repeat a module. Would you have to pay that upon registration, or later in the year (when you sit the exams)? It's a bit harsh leaving us unaware up until 3 days before we start, then all of sudden finding out we have to cough up a few grand.

Is it not €1500 to repeat externally, regardless of how much you need to repeat? Its like that in Engineering. €4500 if you repeat internally.

What does 'repeat externally' mean anywho? You just come in in the summer for the exams? €1500 isn't too bad for a flat fee, although I only expect to be resitting the one. Is that fee due at the start of September do you know?

Repeating extrernally is what it is! You repeat the year, but dont attend college. DIY kinda jobby. Then at exam time you pop up your head and do the exams.
If in engineering you fail the labs and project group, you have to repeat them internally and hence everything internally.

Not sure when the fees due, ive not had to that system thankfully.
