I have two UPC cable connections to the house but the previous owner split the cable and put TV points in every room which I dont use. I want to get UPC telephone and broadband. Is there a problem if UPC see all these unnecessary TV points. Does anyone know?

I moved into a house where there were a grand total of 4 TV points, and when I got the first bill from what was then ntl: I saw that I had "inherited" the extra charge they were paying for them. I was only ever going to use the 1, so rang them up and they simply cancelled the charge and refunded what I'd already paid. Nobody came to check up or to disconnect or remove anything.

If it's a job that the owner did themsleves though, I don't know what the deal is, but if you're not going to use them then why not just remove them yourself.

and get the install engineer to check the signal quality of the box you do want to use, to ensure that the splitting has not caused the feed to degrade too much.
