quick fix very crooked front tooth??

    Hi all,
My lateral incisor, (tooth to the right of my front two) is extremely crooked and overlapping my front tooth! its horrible looking, it also has a huge filling in it and now needs a root canal. The tooth that should be on the far side of the crooked one actually came down behind it! I know its a complete mess. I did have braces and perfect teeth, until the arrival of this canine behind my front teeth and a wisdom tooth came on the scene!

I don't think braces are the answer as straightening what i have already will mean keeping bad tooth and undergoing a root canal. Other option an othodontist gave me was to pull out bad crooked tooth and bring forward the tooth from behind but that will be a different shape and after two years of train tracks and a huge dent in the bank account i don't want to settle for not perfect.

So I don't know what to do. I really need to go to a dentist who will lay out all my options, i'm thinking veneers, implants, I'd imagine i possibly need a combination of treatments and want to go to somebody who will be in a position to give me the best treatment and the best result.

This will sound terrible, but where is the dublin dentist equivalent to all those horrible make over shows, who fix the most horrendous of teeth and don't need two years and train tracks to do it??

any suggestions welcomed, thanks a mill :o

    Get it done abroad.
just had dental work done in turkey at a fraction of the price here.
Turkish Dentist was very professional, and the office was super clean.
That way you incorporate a holiday with a new look to your teeth.

    thats my opinion anyways.

Forget this guy's post, it sounds like you have quite a complex situation which may require a combination of treatment phases, ie extraction followed possibly by a brief period of ortho treatment to get space to ideal width then maybe a bridge/implant, it needs to be planned carefully. You'll only get one shot at this so forget the one week holiday with a visit to dentist on the side.

Go to a prosthodontist. It sounds a bit beyond the scope of a general dentist.
You'd be better off not looking for a quick fix or a cheap fix.
    Good luck,
