    Some more pictures from the "meet Your Navy" weekend at Portsmouth Dockyard on 25th July. This time Pictures of the Japanese navy, a very rare visitor to this part of the world. They bought 3 ships with them and here are some of the pictures.

    Knowing how anally retentive the RN are, flying the union jack rather than the red ensign as a courtesy flag would be seen as a major gaff by the Japanese Navy...

    If you look at the RN ships (and the RFA ships) all the radar scanners will be athwartships. Standard practice for some poor bugger to have to climb up and swing it around by hand until in place. :rolleyes:
