This morning my hard drive and laptop broke up and stopped talking to each other. My ever-more-knowledgable friend took apart my external hd to see if that would fit in the macbook slot. It doesnt. ie it is SATA and has the right amount of connectors but the original drive has a small notch that allows the drive to sit in flush. The external drive didnt. Does anyone know for sure which replacement drives do fit.

guy on the phone couldnt be sure if this fit or not with the small notch.
