The Boilerhouse - what's the story?

I've been living on Georges Street for about 10 years, and I spend a few nights a week in an apartment next door to the Boilerhouse.

I've noticed a huge difference between the gays on Georges Street and the gays who use the Boilerhouse.

It seems the Boilerhouse attract straight acting men, or possibly married men. Does this sound right?

I know there is no dress code for gays, but there is a clear difference between the people who go to the George and people who go to the Boilerhouse.

Is the Boilerhouse a place for married men, or men who lead a straight life?

I'm not trying to stir **** here, I'm just wondering.

I guess the BH might get a more mixed crowd as it might get married or closeted men, whereas the G will get more of an out crowd.

You do realise though that the G is a club/pub and the BH is a gay sauna, in other words like a gay sex club where guys can go to have random sex. Therefore, if you're looking at what lads are wearing, going to the BH lads are not going to be dressed up cos once inside they'll be wearing a towel or sometimes naked.

Not particularily, but it would be frequented by many people who might not be out for whatever reason
