How long would it take to walk to the Irish ferries terminal in Dublin Port from the city centre? Or from the 53 bus terminus? I see there is a 53a too which goes all the way, but the timetables are not so convenient.

The 53 bus terminus is at East Wall Road, at the Point Depot, a good two miles from the Ferry Terminal - the nearest stop would be at the Alexandra Road junction.

There are some trips on the 53 and all of the 53A which go along the Alexandra Road to the junction with Breakwater Road, but even that is 3/4 of a mile from the ferry terminal.

Dublin Bus do operate buses between Busarus and the Ferry Terminal to meet arriving and departing ferries - the link is below. Unfortunately they do not take normal passes and have a higher fare.

5.5 km to town from the ferry, if you wanna walk it's about an hour and a half, (at an easy enough 15 minutes per km) but if you are carrying stuff the bus is better, or even a taxi, be about €10.00, but better than arriving in a ball.
