    Hi

If you are going VOIP you might be better off getting a SIP phone.

www.jmcsoft.ie have a very good range of IP phones some less than 38EURO. also ATA & Gateways.

I had a Handytone 496. It was rubbish. In fact, it's still around here somewhere. If you want it you can have it for nothing.

    hi ricky

look at the Siemens Gigaset C450IP. It's compatible with normal landline and VoIP (SIP).
It's a really nice phone for home use

Agree with Ricky, I just setup a Siemens Gigaset C475IP for the wife - was using a Polycom 550 before that. Really great phones, setup takes 5 minutes for VOIP and call quality is excellent.

MHP - I was wondering what did you change to since you had issues with the Handytone? I'm about to go voip and currently the PAP2T-UK is the frontrunner. It is designated with UK - can I assume it will work here with no problems? Thanks.

I changed to a Zyxel Prestige 2302R. The Zyxel and the Handytone are VoIP routers... not what you want if you've already got a router.
