    Aston Villa (+26) 15/1
    Everton (+26) 15/1

    Hull City (+50) 15/1
    Stoke City (+50) 15/1
Each-way and place bets 1/5 odds first 4

So where is the value here Sunderland +40 or Newcastle +30?

    Selection Odds
    Shrewsbury (Scratch) 18/1
    Bradford (+1) 18/1
    Darlington (+1) 18/1
    Chesterfield (+2) 18/1

    Accrington (+24) 18/1
    Dagenham (+24) 18/1
    Luton (+54) 12/1
    Each-way bets 1/4 odds first 4

Also I think Luton are a great bet here they start at -30 but could get them back on appeal.

There is no way Luton will get the points back. As unfair as it is, the League are getting very tough, with two other teams suffering similair fates - Rotherham have been whacked with -17 and no option for an appeal.

As for the points, as Liverpool are going to win the league thats who to back! :D

    Badbrian's thoughts. ..

Agree Portsmouth on the handicap look a standout ew bet. Benitez needs Liverpool to deliver for him in the premiership so might be a handicap or outright bet.

Also I saw Celtic are offering Torres @5/1 to be top scorer. Best price elsewhere that I saw yesterday was 4/1.

I'm thinking of Fulham and Betfred seem to be best if going with them.

    Liverpool (+9)
    Tottenham (+19)
    Aston Villa (+25)
    Everton (+25)
    Man City (+27)
    Portsmouth (+29)
    Newcastle (+31)
    Blackburn (+35)
    Middlesbrough (+38)
    West Ham (+38)
    Sunderland (+41)
    Bolton (+42)
    Wigan (+43)

Really think that Borough are going to have a breakout season so they are the standouts for me here. As long as they replace Cattermole and one of the keepers steps up to the plate than they have it all. Great defensive partnership in Huth and Wheater, flair in Downing and Tuncay and a proven goalscorer in Alves.

    Good thread. My two cents.

Here's the final table from last season with the various handicaps applied. Handicaps were from VCBet at the time.

    Handicap Final points
    Everton 33 98
    Arsenal 14 97
    Man City 41 96
    Villa 33 93
    Portsmouth 36 93
    Blackburn 34 92

With this in mind, the reduction of 7 points on Everton's handicap, coupled with them signing virtually nobobdy over the Summer rules them out for me.

Pompey could do well again. However, they are 6 points shorter than last season and I think that Muntari leaving is a big loss. Their first 11 is really good but with them in Europe I think their squad is too light.

So basically, I think you need to go for a team with at least a 33 point start.

Blackburn could struggle without Bentley and if the rumours about players being unhappy with Ince are true.

I'll probably go for West Ham as mental as it sounds. They were ruined by injuries last season but have some decent players. Curbs had a decent record of doing well with Charlton so if they have a decent run and keep their guys injury free they could finish in the top 8.

Pompey lost all of their last 4 games last season. If they won just won I would have got half my €1,700 winnings (drawing with Everton). If they got 4 points from those games I would have won the lot. :(

I had Man City and their end of season form was atrocious as well, glad Ericksson went after that.

I'm honestly going to smash Sunderland this year.

    Wigan (+43)
    Fulham (+45)
    West Brom (+47)
    Stoke (+51)
    Hull City (+53)
I'm really hoping Fulham will stop winning now because I never put this bet on. I was thinking of putting €200 on it but just never really got around to it (much, much higher than my average bet but it's over 9 months so you have to make it worthwhile). I could have been cheering Fulham on for €3,600 right now. :( That would be just my luck after Portsmouth's **** up last season.

At the moment the above table looks like:

    Fulham 88
    Hull 87
    Stoke 87
    Wigan 84
    West Ham 82
    Bolton 79
    Liverpool 79
    Aston Villa 78
    Everton 77
    Sunderland 73
    West Brom 72
    Man Utd 71
    Blackburn 69
    Chelsea 69
    Arsenal 68
    Middlesbrough 68
    Man City 65
    Portsmouth 63
    Newcastle 61
    Tottenham 60

I can't see anything other than a Fulham win unfortunately. It just goes to show you though that this is a great bet to do at 17/1!

    Fulham 88
    Hull 87
    Stoke 87
    Wigan 84
    West Ham 82
It looks like its between these five and with 6 rounds of games to go (7 for Wigan, who host Man Utd) there are some cup-finals which could decide the outcome. Stoke could move level or ahead this weekend, but then travel to Fulham for a huge game the week after. West Ham have to play Aston Villa and Chelsea before they then travel to Stoke ! Hull then host Stoke, so it really looks like its Stoke’s to lose at this stage. Hull are in such free-fall that may well be the only winnable game they have left, which would leave them on 90. Fulham have three home games, but they are hosting UEFA (whatever its called now) hopefuls Aston Villa and Everton ! Wigan have potential 3 point games home against Bolton and Portsmouth. So I’d price it that the critical game is on May 16th when Stoke host Wigan. Basing my odds around a home win there I’d say
    1/1 Stoke, 6/4 Wigan, 2/1 Fulham, 25/1 Hull, 33/1 West Ham !!!!
team now final (worked out scientifically !!)
    Fulham 88 93
    Hull 87 90
    Stoke 87 98
    Wigan 84 94
    West Ham 82 87

I hope you're right but there's no way Stoke are going to pick up anywhere near 11 points from their last 6 games.

Fulham and Arsenal will beat them imo. And then you predicted Hull beating them to leave Hull on 90. So they're relying heavily on their home form.

Still can't see past Fulham who won't lose any of their home games imo.

    this was on 16-Apr-2009
    "1/1 Stoke, 6/4 Wigan, 2/1 Fulham, 25/1 Hull, 33/1 West Ham !!!!
team now final (worked out scientifically !!)
    Fulham 88 93
    Hull 87 90
    Stoke 87 98
    Wigan 84 94
    West Ham 82 87 "
    the actual table now is
    Fulham 45+53=98
    Stoke 51+45=96
    Liverpool 9+83=92

You were right, and so was I, sort of ! You said there was no way Stoke would pick up 11 points, but they have 9 already and only a trip to the Emirates to go !!! But yes, its Fulham's to lose now. I could be ill now as I tipped them at work, and never backed them.
