    For PC and in the 100-200 price range maybe just a bit over it if its worth mentioning

    Also do PCI interfaces have an advantage over USB?

    have a look at the tascam 1621, 8 mic pre's i think and comes with cubase.

    Hate to put a dampner on things but you are not going to get anything half decent for that price. Hold on to your money and get an RME 400 or something...

    Very few of any PCI cards have mic amps, Firewire is probably a better call than USB too.

    Ok so. What would be the lowest price i should consider? I would be looking for a USB interface seeing as i don't have a firewire connection. Give me a few good interfaces that i should look into. Cheers

    Couldn't find a USB interface I liked the look of, you could get a firewire card and one of these http://www.mackie.com/products/satellite/index.html
